Sussex equestrian star Lottie back in GB junior team for European Championships

It’s been a very successful showjumping season for the Mid Sussex-based Adams sisters – competing as young professional showjumpers and being selected to compete abroad in two Nation Cups, both sisters finishing with top placings.

And now there is more good news – for Lottie Adams and Khaleesi OL (known as Betty) have been selected to represent Great Britain Children on Horse Team in the European Championships (for the second year running), which will be held next week in Riesenbeck, Germany (7-12 July).

Lottie’s horse Khaleesi OL had no record prior to the Adamses purchasing her at the beginning of last year through Georgie Strutton (Melrose Farm), who helped match-make them – and together they have since proved brave and bold with everything they have faced, and Betty only ever wants to please.

Twelve-year-old beats competitors twice her age in Hickstead amateur final

A 12-year-old who has just stepped up to horses came out on top of a much more experienced field to win the Hy Equestrian Royal International Horse Show (RIHS) amateur championship.

Riding her chestnut mare Evotion — who at eight years old was also one of the youngest horses in the class — Lottie Adams claimed an emotional first victory in Hickstead’s hallowed international arena.

Lottie’s dream come true – equestrian star gets GB call-up for European championship

“Dreams really do come true!” So says Lottie Adams, a talented 13-year-old show jumper who set her aim this time last year of being selected for the GB Children on Horses team.

She was ecstatic that this came true – and now Lottie is celebrating even more good news with an international flavour.

After receiving the first call-ups this season Lottie, who lives near Hickstead was selected to represent GB in the Children on Horses Team in all three Nations Cup meetings, held in France, the Czech Republic and Holland.

Star West Sussex rider Lottie qualifies for county championships

Lottie Adams has won four Nationwide Schools Equestrian Association Championship qualifying classes, despite being one of the youngest competitors in large classes including 18-year-olds.

The ten-year-old from Hassocks, a determined and naturally talented rider, won all four of her show jumping and arena eventing qualifying classes.

Showjumping success keeps coming for Sussex sisters

Lottie and Kitty Adams will compete for Great Britain in Linz, Austria

In a remarkable achievement for the Mid Sussex sisters, both Lottie (14) and Kitty (12) have climbed the British Showjumping League tables and have demonstrated exceptional talent at the Pony of the Year Show (POYS), securing their spots, Lottie as a team member and Kitty as an individual to represent Great Britain in the upcoming Nations Cup held in Linz, Austria.

This will be Lottie’s second season competing as part of the team with her bay nine-year-old mare, Khaleesi O.L (Betty), and Kitty's debut as an individual with her chestnut nine-year-old mare Goldust V (Babs).
